Did you always want to be a writer?

No! I wanted to be a teacher, a dancer, and a musician. I always enjoyed writing in my free time, but I wrote poetry the most. When I wasn’t writing poetry, I filled books with stories and dreamed about characters and the adventures they would go on. Then, about four years ago, I realised that writing was the job for me!

What is your favourite book?

My favourite children’s book is “The Gruffalo” by Julia Donaldson and “The Horse Whisperer” by Nichols Evans.

My favourite adult books is – there are too many to name. I like reading autobiographies and stories about real life.

What are your favourite things?

My favourite things are definitely my cat and my kids, going for a walk at dusk, writing, and reading.

Where are you from?

I was born in England, but I have lived in Australia all my life, mostly in Sydney. I moved to Newcastle 11 years ago and love it here!

Do you have any pets?

I have a very fluffy cat called Fuzzy. We adopted her from the R.S.P.C.A. She is five years old and super cute!
